MWMS Students Invited to 2018 Diamondbacks STEM Showcase

(Maricopa) Students from Maricopa Wells Middle School were invited to represent the Arizona Future City program as part of the 2018 Diamondbacks STEM Showcase on March 11th. The students were invited to bring their Future City Models and explain how they use STEM in their classes at Maricopa Wells Middle School during the game. The students and their families were given complimentary tickets to the Diamondbacks versus the Nationals game. During the game, the students showcased their Future City models. The students who participated were Joseph Abel, Thomas Abel, Robert Hahn, Aubryana Pick, Rylee Tarcola, Morgan Witte, Zoie Zimpleman.

About Future Cities Competitions - This flexible, cross-curricular educational program gives students an opportunity to do the things that engineers do—identify problems; brainstorm ideas; design solutions; test, retest and build; and share their results.
